Willow Creek's Staff
Lauren has been with us since late 2018 and is a part time Registered Veterinary Technician. With more than 15 years of experience in the veterinary field and over 25 years of experience working with and showing horses, she has an extensive background. Before working at Willow Creek, she worked as an Animal Health Inspector for the USDA as well as working as an RVT at a small animal and exotic practice.
She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Equine Production and Management and then attended Cuyahoga Community College and obtained her associates in Veterinary Technology.
Currently, Lauren is working towards obtaining her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Technology as well as her certification as a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Equine Nursing.
She has specific interest in rehabilitation of performance horses and spends much of her free time working with thoroughbreds both on and off the track. Lauren’s other professional interests include teaching, client outreach and education.
Her and her teenage daughter, Chloe, have 4 horses; two thoroughbreds, a paint and an appaloosa. Together, they spend a lot of time training and showing the horses in various disciplines. In addition to the four horses, they also have 1 goat, 3 dogs, 3 cats, one guinea pig and one Russian tortoise.
My name is Kara, and I am one of the veterinary assistants here at Willow Creek!
I have an associate degree in Animal Welfare and Management and have been in the veterinary field for 10+ years. I love working with all types of animals, especially large animals.
Having grown up on a beef cattle farm, I was drawn to animals at a young age. When I am not working with animals, I am spending time with my son, Noah..
Abby graduated from Wright State University in 2012 with a BS in Biological Sciences.
She has worked in the veterinary field with small animals for 16 years. Previous to that she worked with horses and was a working student, professional groom, and a barn manager.
In her spare time she enjoys refinishing furniture, and spending time with her animals.
Brittany has always had animals throughout her life including dogs, cats, and horses. She grew up starting to ride and show at the local 4H shows and eventually moving on to show at the Quarter Horse level.
Brittany has previously worked as a horse trainer, at a national horse registry and in the veterinary field after graduating with a BS in Western Equestrian Studies and a BA in Public Relations from the University of Findlay in 2016. She joined the staff at Willow Creek Veterinary Service in 2021.
Brittany enjoys going to the gym, playing with her dog Susie, grooming her retired show horse, and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.
Brett graduated from The Ohio State University College of Business Administration with a BS degree in operations management and information systems. He has professional experience in retail distribution as well as over 10 years of management experience in the food distribution industry.
Brett has been involved with Willow Creek since the beginning in 2009 and has been working for Willow Creek full time since 2014 and is responsible for all financials, computer systems, facilities, and anything else that comes up.
In his spare time, Brett enjoys spending time with his children, is an avid sports fan, and a roller coaster enthusiast.
We are grateful to our team of hard working and caring staff for all they do for us and our patients!
