Dr. Sandra Gebhart

Dr. Sandra Gebhart is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and College of Agriculture with a BS in Animal Science.

 

She grew up in Hinckley and was an active member in Bath Pony Club and Summit county  4-H. She has been practicing in the Medina area for the previous 12+ years.

 

Willow Creek Veterinary Service was established by Dr. Gebhart in 2009 as a mixed animal veterinary service, providing ambulatory and office care for patients in the surrounding communities. Willow Creek Vet expanded in 2015, building a full on-site office location.

 

Dr. Gebhart has instructed at Stautzenberger College's Vet Tech program, and has provided extensive surgical services for One of a Kind Pets and Angels for Animals.

 

Her veterinary interests are varied and include reproductive and neonatal care, surgery, general and emergency medicine.  She enjoys the variety of a mixed animal practice; focusing on horses, cats and dogs.

 

Willow Creek Farm is home to Sandra, her husband Brett, children, Greg, Suzy, Katy and all of the four-legged family members: currently 4 cats, 1 crazy dog, 3 ponies and her chestnut mare.

 

When not working, Dr. Gebhart enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and riding.  Dr. Gebhart and her family are extensively involved with the Bath Pony Club, part of the USPC. She loves her extended family of clients and patients at Willow Creek Vet, and enjoys the busy practice.

Dr. Emily Wood

Canine/Feline

Dr. Emily Wood is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in Lexington Kentucky on a cattle farm, bordering the Kentucky Horse Park. In her 12+ years of practice, she has worked in equine, general small animal and emergency practices.

 

After graduation she joined an equine exclusive ambulatory practice near Dayton Ohio. She practiced here for 4 years, working with all types of pleasure and show horses in an ambulatory and haul-in setting. For the past 7 years, Dr. Wood has been back in the Lexington, Kentucky area. Here she worked with Equine Medical Associates working on many large Lexington Kentucky racehorse and broodmare farms. Her career then took her to 2 small animal practices, where she was focused on small animal medicine, surgery and emergency cases.

 

Her professional interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine and small animal behavior.

 

Dr. Wood moved to Medina with her two kids, Lilly and Jack, two dogs and a cat. They are looking forward to exploring their new hometown. When not seeing patients and being Mom, Dr. Wood enjoys biking, hiking, reading and baking.

 

Dr. Wood is a longtime colleague and friend of Dr. Gebhart, working together in Columbus starting back in 2000. They are extremely excited to work together for patients and clients of Willow Creek Veterinary Service.
